Newsletter - August 2021

Welcome back to the sweet comfort of work after the summer break.

This month our newsletter looks at a new feature in HTZ to analyse the impact of flight paths on microwave links, an overview of ICS Manager no-database and accessing public spectrum databases and the latest online portal implementation. Check out our latest recruitment drive for down under and our new website.

Our webinar season restarts in September, full details to follow.

Introducing ICS Manager no-DB

Over the past decade, data-sharing and data integration have transformed the way we do business in spectrum regulation.

By recognising the need to access different data sources, ATDI developed ICS Manager no-DB, which forms part of ATDI’s database management solution. This latest addition allows users to import and synchronise data held in public spectrum databases with ATDI’s tools, to improve frequency assignment and national and regional spectrum coordination.

BLOG: MW links -v- flight altitude analysis

Analysing the potential cross-overs between MW path profiles and flight paths.

Recent software development from ATDI analyses the impact of flight paths on microwave link paths in and around an airport. This study looked at the viability of predefined microwave links and the potential intersections between the Fresnel zone for each beam and the flight paths.

Tracking 5G networks

As Thailand makes great strides with its 5G rollout, the country’s leading Government-owned mobile network operator turned to ATDI to support their network growth. ATDI supplied multiple licenses of HTZ Communications, and HTZ WebView, a cloud-based solution that shares coverage outputs securely. This online portal tracked coverage as the 5G network was rollout, supply local retail stores with updates on mobile phone reception and supporting sales initiatives for new subscribers.
