支持军事创新

More and more military research organizations are turning to ATDI to provide spectrum engineering support for complex radio modeling problems.

Innovation has long been a buzzword in the military, but empty talk doesn't always make a difference for soldiers on the ground. It is unclear whether technological or operational necessity drives military innovation. What is clear is that without a steady stream of innovative technologies and capabilities, the military will not be able to identify future threats and modernize to gain strategic and tactical advantage.

This is where ATDI and military research institutions stand out. Strategic partnerships between the private sector and the military are not new. However, research institutions are looking to external improvements to shorten turnaround times, gain industry-proven solutions and reduce reliance on in-house experts.

An independent review of products and solutions that support UK military operations. Dstl is exploring the use of HTZ Warfare to predict the RF performance of military communications and electronic warfare systems while supporting real-time situational awareness on the battlefield. HTZ Warfare is also evaluating radio systems to ensure they can not only communicate, but are capable enough to meet the military's growing reliance on big data. Also, HTZ serves as a concept demonstrator for a web-based service, providing users with an easy-to-use interface to perform calculations with the HTZ Warfare Spectrum Engine without training.

Likewise, Korea's Defense Development Agency (ADD) has worked with ATDI for over a decade, using HTZ Warfare to support tactical radios, radars and satellites. It is used in a variety of technologies, from maritime communications to unmanned vehicles. Projects include modeling drone-to-drone communication, one of which uses a high-altitude platform (HAP) to extend the drone's communication range. This project applies the ITU-R 528 propagation model to simulate network coverage in HTZ Warfare. ATDI also provides support for managing satellite coordination of GSO and non-GSO satellites.

In Australia, the Defence Technology Group is the lead agency for Australia and its national interests. The group uses HTZ Warfare throughout the organization. A major use case is frequency coordination and frequency deconfliction in battlefield environments. They also use the RRL plugin and HTZ Warfare to access ACMA's Australian National Spectrum Regulator's spectrum database for frequency assignments. The RRL plugin acts as middleware to import licensing data from ACMA directly into HTZ Warfare. This enables DSTG to simulate the impact of frequency assignments and increase spectrum awareness. HTZ Warfare is used for terrestrial communications and P2P microwave links.

The most recent HTZ Warfare purchase came from India's Defence Electronics Research Laboratory. They use the HTZ Warfare to optimize where to deploy the direction finder (DF) and tactical mission planning. HTZ is supported by custom training courses that enable end users to rapidly deploy software and support ongoing operations.

Other use cases include modeling Link16 into airport DVORs and aviation radars. HTZ supports the modeling of maritime surveillance drones to determine maximum communication range and link reliability. This allows the drone to be located in a country, but operate on a larger land or even extend into enemy territory.

About ATDI

Many organizations are consulting ATDI to support transformational change rather than incremental progress. We provide professional services to the Department of Defense and wider government, and work with partners in the military, government and security agencies to provide expert advice and valuable operational support. Our unique and up-to-date understanding of risks and opportunities in the defense industry is achieved through lateral scanning. In response, new and improved features and functionality have been added to our software solutions. HTZ Warfare, our tactical radio planning software is used in all fields; sea, land and air.

We are innovative, collaborative and impactful.
